Here is just some family history on the Garrett house. We were all over the USA and came from over the pond. My grandfather, Wendell Garrett, was an amazing man. He was a veteran, and owned a roofing company in San Fransico, and he was buried in the Riverside Military cemetery, where about 7,000 ex-military motorcyclists ride out every year. I didn’t know that until I met one at a free music concert I was invited to. I was cold, and he let me sit by a fire pit. And my mom and dad and aunt, and uncle have been there on occasion to see the parade. It’s pretty neat. Mom mentioned I’ll have to go one of these days. My uncle is also a former Army man who served in the Vietnam war, who came home and started his own machine shop in Laguna Hills. My great-grandfather opened the first roofing company in Riverside, CA. And he served as well. We go back to maybe Queen Elizabeth, but it’s not confirmed. Also, Sir Issac Newton and not confirmed according to my Uncle. I’m still working on the heritage on this side and my other side. I think ancestry is interesting. I’m fortunate that my dad is still around to ask about some of it. And my aunt on the other side, who has done extensive research. We go back to Elvis on that side. I have an ancestry account that I am building for my family and nephews who will one day want to know more =). I also got my DNA. I think it’s interesting to know about all of the history that went into my creation.
